Deputy Auditor Clerk
Adams County Clerk is seeking applications for a deputy auditor clerk. The general duties require a thorough knowledge of a wide range of accounting and finance including but not limited to general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash handling, auditing, and internal and external and assisting the public; performing related work as required. Qualified candidates must demonstrate communication and organizational skills and familiarity with common software programs and office equipment. Detention Corporal Deputy
Adams County Sheriff is accepting applications for a Corporal of Detention Division. Deputies will ensure the basic needs of inmates are being met in a safe and controlled environment. This position will monitor all activity within the jail and respond to situations that arise. Detention officers will be responsible for ensuring the safe transport of inmates. Deputies may be exposed to violent behaviors and to verbal abuse by the inmates. Corporal will perform all duties as described in the Detention Deputy job description above. They Assists in evaluating performance of Detention personnel by providing input to the evaluating supervisor. Provides informal, remedial training to assigned personnel, will take corrective action of field performance issues as needed. Makes decisions as to correct action to be taken during jail incidents as an acting supervisor or as the lead deputy on the shift. May receive and investigate complaints related to an employee’s conduct. May be assigned as a field training officer. Completes assigned projects. Performs other duties of a similar nature and level. Experience required a high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.), P.O.S.T Basic Detention Certification, 3 years of successful experience as a full-time Deputy are required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above

Emergency Communications Officer
Adams County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for the position of a full-time Public Safety Communication Officer. This position is required to answer emergency and non-emergency calls for service using a multi-line telephone and 911 system. Monitoring, receiving and transmitting radio traffic to Law Enforcement, Medical and Fire agencies. Applicant needs to be able to work in high stress, fast-paced environment where the ability to multi-task is imperative. They are required to help jail staff when necessary. Written testing, drug testing and/or a background investigation may be conducted. Interviews shall be granted based upon a review of application and supporting documentation. All applicants shall be at least 18 years of age. Additionally, the successful applicant is required to possess a current Idaho driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent/G.E.D. Additional qualifications include the ability to use common computer-based applications e.g. Power Point, Word, Excel, and proprietary record management software. Patrol Position
Adams County is a community-oriented office seeking motivated, career-minded officers who will be responsible for performing a variety of duties involving the enforcement of state and local laws and ordinances. They will be required to respond to calls of service, conduct criminal and non-criminal investigations; make arrests and to perform other assigned law enforcement and public safety duties. Deputies will be required to conduct investigation of crimes, accidents, enforcing traffic regulations and perform a variety of technical and administrative tasks.
