Job Description

Detention Position

Adams County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for the Detention Division. Deputies will ensure the basic needs of inmates are being met in a safe and controlled environment. This position will monitor all activity within the jail and respond to situations that arise. Detention officers will be responsible for ensuring the safe transport of inmates. Deputies may be exposed to violent behaviors and to verbal abuse by the inmates.

Road & Bridge Equipment Operator

Adams County Road & Bridge Department has an equipment operator position available in New Meadows and in Council. The full-time position comes with a benefit package. The ideal candidate must have a Class A CDL driver's license with a tanker endorsement (within 6 months of hire). Be able to operate a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment such as dump trucks, graders, loaders, rollers, snow plowing and other related equipment and be self-motivated and enjoy working with the public.
