Commissioners Minutes
September
17, 2007
The Board of Adams County Commissioners met this day
with the following persons present:
Mike Paradis, Vice-Chairman, Joe Holmes, Commissioner and Peggy
Pinkal, Deputy Clerk. Bill
Brown, Chairman and Sherry Ward, Clerk was at an Idaho Association of
Counties convention.
TAX DEED HEARING: This being the time and date the
hearing on the taking of a tax deed by the County was opened by
Vice-Chairman Mike Paradis.
Connie Kesler, Treasurer, Nita VanGrunsven, Monte Eppich were
present. Connie presented
information on a piece of property ready to be taken by the County for
non-payment of taxes. Joe
Holmes made a motion to take tax deed on parcel #RP17N01W151352A, .66
ac. The motion was seconded
by Mike Paradis and passed unanimously. The Board advised a tax deed would be drawn by the
Prosecuting Attorney and recorded.
The property can then be declared as an odd lot as it is land
locked and sold without holding a public auction.
SURPLUS PROPERTY: The Assessor’s office presented a
request to remove a Gateway PC from inventory as surplus property and of
no value. Joe Holmes made a
motion to remove the PC from the inventory. The motion was seconded by Mike Paradis and passed
unanimously.
CLAIMS: Joe Holmes made a motion to
approve the interim claims as presented. The motion was seconded by Mike Paradis and passed
unanimously.
GRAYS CREEK FIRE: Don Horton, Homeland Security Administrator,
met to discuss reimbursement to the County for use of manpower and
equipment in fighting the Grays Creek Fire.
With no further business to
come before the Board the Board recessed until September 24, 2007.
